The Polestar is relatively new to the market and in short is a premium electric hatchback spinoff from Volvo  (which is owned by Geely). It's introduction to the market offers a direct alternative to the Tesla Model 3 and in many ways, offers similar performance capabilities and technologies.

It offers a 78kWh battery pack that powers two motors that provides 408bhp and a 0-62mph in 4.5 seconds. On top of that, it has a respectable 292 mile range, which is not quite 350 mile range from the Tesla Model 3. However, where the Polestar lacks in some performance against a Tesla, it certainly offers reliability and unique styling, making the Polestar a very worthy option in the ever growing BEV market.

MPG, running costs & CO2;

With a 292 mile range, you can forget range anxiety. With a 150kW rapid charging, you can forget about long charging times. Company car drivers will enjoy a 0% BIK in 2020/21 but will rise to 1% 2021/22.

Engines, drive & performance;

Great to drive, handles well and feels very balanced!

Interior & comfort;

It's spacious, simple and vegan-friendly.

Practicality & boot space;

A good amount of boot space, 408L infact. A big panoramic sunroof makes it very light.

Reliability & safety;

Although this is a new model, you can still be assured by it's potential reliability that is derived from Volvo and Geely which is one of the world's largest manufacturer of electric vehicles.
