The Nissan 370Z is an exciting performance car to drive that can put a smile on your face without having to splash out mega money on other brand performing cars.
It was first introduced to the market in 2008 and has had a couple of makeovers to keep up to date and to compete with the emerging muscle cars like the Ford Mustang, Volkswagen Golf R and Honda Civic Type R.
It's 3.7-litre V6 petrol engine can produce 328bhp to the rear wheels which can get you from 0-62mph in 5.3 seconds. The Nismo has 344bhp and a 0-62mph in 5.2 seconds, making the 370Z a great performance car. That said, it does have it's own Pro's and Con's. For example, the 370Z is only a two-seater and with all that power to the rear wheels, the 370Z is twitchy and requires lots of attention. Both of these points could be a Pro or Con dependant on your current requirements. For Nissan, this was the goal by keeping it aligned to the original 1960's 240Z. For us, it's a great car, a lot of fun and worthwhile purchase.
MPG, running costs & CO2;
Don't expect cheap running costs with this 3.7 V6 engine averaging around 23mpg.
Engines, drive & performance;
Well positioned and drives beautifully.
Interior & comfort;
Comfy enough, modern and can come with more tech as standard compared to rivals. The overall finish is a little "cheap" and dated. Oh and the dials move along with the steering wheel.
Practicality & boot space;
Practical and the 235L boot is big enough for two sets of golf bags.
Reliability & safety;
It is reliable with latest safety features.
