The Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross is a stylish SUV with a generous amount of standard features but lacks practicality due to the exterior sloping design.
It has a 1.5-litre 163bhp petrol engine returning up to 42mpg with the manual gearbox, or up to 40mpg with the automatic 4x4. It comes in four models which are well equipped, with infotainment with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility.
***Mitsubishi has announced (27th July 2020) it is whithdrawing from the UK and European market. The Colt car company confirm it will no longer bring in any new models to the UK. Only current models like the popular Outlander and L200 will continue to be sold until they no longer meet the emmissions regulations.. It is to part of a global restructure to protect it's profitability and concentrate on core markets. Servicing and Aftercare will resume.****

Reasonable fuel economy.
Engines, drive & performance;
Well positioned but awful drive and responsivness.
Interior & comfort;
Surprisingly comfy. The latest 2020 models come with more tech and a fresh update that still doesn't look modern enough.
Practicality & boot space;
Not very practical, although the small 341L boot can be extended to 448L by reducing rear legroom.
Reliability & safety;
A five year warranty and 5 star NCAP rating is attractive but not enough to compensate for it's overall reputation for poor reliability.
