The Mercedes-Benz EQC is a luxurious electric SUV that is based on the Mercedes GLC model. It was first launched in 2019 to compete with the Tesla Model X, Jaguar I-Pace and Audi e-tron.

It's big, luxurious and can accomodate upto five people whilst leaving plenty of boot space for luggage.

The EQC 400 4MATIC has two electric motors powering the front and rear axles independently, it can produce 408bhp  with four-wheel drive for traction in all weather conditions. An impressive 0-62mph in 5.1 seconds and a range of 256 miles is great for an electric SUV but, it is not quicker than the Tesla's 0-62mph.

Charging is quick with the EQC, with a  110kW charger , the EQC's can top up from 10 to 80% in about 40 minutes. Trims include Sport, AMG Line and the luxurious Edition 1 that celebrates the car's launch. They all have alloy wheels (from 19-inches up), LED lighting and a 'widescreen cockpit' as standard. The Sport trim is well equipped with features like LED headlights, 19-inch alloy wheels, 64-colour ambient lighting, keyless entry and a rear-view camera. The seats are swathed in Artico man-made leather.

The AMG Line has a black front grille, 20-inch wheels, aluminium running boards and leather sports seats. The top range AMG Line Premium Plus gets memory seats, a head-up display and an Interior Assistant for the MBUX system (an infotainment system, which uses a pair of 10.25-inch screens for the infotainment system and the digital instrument cluster. it features innovations like augmented navigation, which uses images from the windscreen-mounted camera with overlaid graphics to help point you in the right direction).
