The Mercedes-Benz C-Class was first launched in 1993 to compete in the compact executive market and more so to compete with it's German rivals, the BMW 3 Series and Audi A4.

The C-Class offers an array of engines and trim levels to accommodate all potential driver desires. You can find Eco-Friendly models, Hybrid and Perfomance models, that come with all the latest technilogical and safety features from this luxurious brand.

There is the C 200 1.5-litre EQ Boost petrol mild-hybrid, that produces 181bhp and can boost power by 14bhp using it's EQ boost technology. This allows the car to go from 0-62mph in 7.7 seconds, while returning around 44.1mpg.

The C 300 has a 2.0-litre turbo engine with 255bhp and a 0-62mp. The C 300 e has a 2.0-litre petrol engine with 210bhp, paired with a 120bhp electric motor to give 320bhp and a 0-62mph in 5.4 seconds.

The C 220 d diesel offers 194bhp with a 0-62mph of 6.9 seconds. It can return around 55.4mpg and emit as little as 133g/km of CO2, which makes this an appealing option for company-car drivers.


There is also the C 300 d and C 300de that offer turbocharged two-litre diesel engines that produce 245bhp and 306bhp respectively. The performance allows them to get to 0-62mph in under six-seconds and can return upto 235mpg in the 300de.


If you prefer something with a little more grunt, then there is the C43 and C63 S models. The C43 has a 4.7 second, 3.0-litre V6 petrol engine with 390bhp, whilst the C63 S goes all out with a 503bhp V8 petrol engine and four-second 0-62mph time.


The C-Class is among the most comfortable cars in its class, and its ride quality can be improved still further with optional Airmatic air suspension. It also provides the option of a firm setting that enthusiastic drivers will enjoy.


Trim levels range from SE up to AMG Line Night Edition Premium Plus. All come standard with a 10.25-inch MBUX infotainment display, 17-inch alloy wheels, heated front seats, DAB radio and Sport Edition models add LED headlights, lowered suspension and Artico leather upholstery. AMG Line Edition models have 18-inch alloy wheels, an AMG bodykit and sports suspension, and a 12.3-inch digital instrument display. The AMG Line Night Edition Premium and Premium Plus grades, adding luxuries like 64-colour ambient lighting, wireless smartphone charging and a Burmester stereo system.
